I have already asked the same question. Would suspect the site get its time off the sever so if that's out the site clock will also be the same.
Do we care?
We say when you are happy you don't watch the clock or something like that

Well the time that I made a post is wrong. If I go and say I made a post at 2:18pm and the forum says it was at 2:05pm then who do you belive!
You of course, James.

When would you say that you made a post at 14:18....... if someone wanted to see a post you made you would link it rather than say....its in sponsors section-dreamscience flash-(Whateverthread)-post made at 14:18

Why not change the time on the server so it's right.
Post made (according to my PC at 1532)

Because its not my server.
I personally cant see how its such a big deal.
It's not a big deal but I'd like to think the the people hosting my server can enable NTP on it.

It is a big deal because it is wrong.
If you write something in your log at work does it matter if, when you refer back to it later, you put down the wrong time against the entry?

Work and a forum are nowhere near the same thing. Having the wrong times on a forum dont effect man hours, dont effect productivity, dont effect time management.
A lot of things are wrong but we live with them.
I think a simple "Oh yes, so it is - I shall let the hosting company know" would have been a better answer, rather than "so what".
There are a lot of threads on this forum where people are moaning about the quality of service they get from the Ford dealers, who appear to have a similar "so what" additude to customer service.
Rant over. Must be my age! :)
At the end of the day i cant change it, i can change the time zone but not individual minutes.
I also dont think its the server as other sites i have on the server are at the correct time.
So it is as it is until i see where the problem lies.
I don't see a big deal in it either,
but please Lee, it's Jim's birthday - make him a present.
Jim,
it is not your age, I fully agree with your post, many things we just let go...
Still for me forum time is not a big deal :D
Could we possibly find and set more smileys instead? Alan?

Unfortunately I cannot add any more smiles. That's up to admin.

Thanks, the ones we had on the previous version would be perfect :D, would be nice if they replace the ones in the edit window in order not to open additional windows - most of us post from work you know ... Tssss
The forum clock is being looked at today.
It may put some funny times up on new posts but that is just temporary whilst it is being looked at
lee
New server seems to have solved the problem. :)
