Roof rail inserts

Hello,

When Ford gave me a roof rack the chap that fitted it did a nice job at mashing up the threads on the plastic roof rail inserts. With the rack off I have nothing to cover the rails - I don't want to let water in as then I'll get rust problems.

Does anyone know where you can get replacements. checked ebay and couldn't find anything.

this is why I love our SMAX, great car, does everything we want it to do, and not taking the **** on spares prices - you just know if this was Audi, BMW or Merc these would be £10 each.

When I collected my 2.5T last year the dealer had forced on a replacement cover.

Clearly the wrong one, I took it off & showed him the pictogram underneath.

They'd never seen that!

Not necessarily. I bought wiper blades for my 5 series BMW and for our S-Max, both from main dealers. The Ford ones were dearer.
However, carpet mats for a 5 series (4 mats) are twice the price of the full S-Max set (i.e. 6 mats). I never can figure out how spares/accessories are priced by dealers!
