Hi all, I have a July 07 registered 2.0l diesel smax. I bought it as an ex demonstrator when six months old. I have frequently had alarm service warnings in the dash display and the local Ford garage assured me nothing was wrong. Last Sunday the alarm sounded for no apparent reason and could not be turned off. The fuse diagram in the manual does not match the rear fuse box in my car so I could not pull a fuse (no numbered fuses either!). I started up the engine thinking if I heated up the engine compartment things might dry out and warm up. Then the windscreen wiper started working (they were switched off-not on auto) 15 minutes later, when they eventually stopped wiping, they would not (and still don’t) work at all. I have had to leave the car at home unlocked(the only way to stop the alarm) since and cannot get it to the garage until Wednesday afternoon. Any thoughts anyone?
