I'm having some issues with the display which are annoying.

When on DAB (Which is not as good as I thought it would be) and I go to the my programmed stations they all show blank - just numbers. Switch off the ignition and next time they come back!!!!

Also on longer trips the menu options reduces to just trip computer and Settings. No other options available like Radio, Phone etc......

Had a ford Garage look at it with the usual no fault found comment. So I took a picture of it to prove I wasn't mad - they are going to have another go but I feel they will once again find nowt. Is a complete software install of hardware change required????

Other than that I love the Car

S-Max - 2.0 Titanium.

Regards

Craig

Welcome to SMAXOC

What happens if you go onto CD and then come back onto DAB? Dad sometimes has issues of Stations not being availible, but a quick change from AUX to DAB and it works again. Also, why don't you find the DAB as good as you thought it would be? If you don't mind me asking.

Dad's had this issue a few times. Turns off the engine and stops for a minute and it comes back ok when he restarts the car. Never really followed it up as it's only happened a few times. Not sure if anyone has ever followed up this issue. I know a few poeple have had it come up before though. Might be worth a quick search for it.

Hi James,

Thanks for the quick reply.

Next time it happens I will flick to CD etc....and let you know how it goes.

The DAB cuts out a lot - I thought digital was supposed to have a better coverage - maybe I'm old and technology is overtaking me.

As for the menu issue - I believe it to be a heat issue as it happens on longer trips and wont reset by turning off - needs to be left for some time.

Its going in for some repairs soon as I managed to use the S-Max to kill two pheasants at 75mph - £850 pounds worth of damage. On the brighter side I may have the nice bumper with the silver trim fitted.......cool

I think DAB varies depending on where abouts you are in the country.

Another DAB user, Lauriemac, has experienced iPod issues and is getting his software upgraded soon. Keep an eye on this thread:
