Ipod connection to 6000CD

I have jusr purchased a 2.0 TDCI Zetec dated Mar08 with a 6000cd music system, on my last two vehicles I have been abe to connect an ipod via aux jack, charge and listen with no probs but the Smax gives bad interference as soon as charger is plugged in. I have been to my local car radio shop to see if I can buy a kit and get it plumbed into the back, where interchanger would attach to give me a USB connection but they advise they have nothing to offer apart from very expensive aftermarket bits (£300 ish)
Has anyon have any thoughts?

Hi Brett,
Have a search around the forum as this subject has been covered many times.
You may need a ground loop isolator if the interference is bad.
