Was looking for Tyres regarding Jim H's wanted thread and came across these:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/18-Ford-Alloys-235-45-18-Continental-tyres_W0QQitemZ220493427718QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_C arParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Rims_Car_Wheels_ET?hash=i tem33566eb406&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

No bids yet? Anyone gonna make the guy an offer??

cos I am first bidder though,
have sent message to see what price he has in mind...also only about 20 miles from me so could save £50 on delivery...

Interestingly, it doesn't come up when you search under "S-Max" or "Smax", because he hasn't stuck it in the title... so he may not get much interest. Good luck.

what do you reckon is a good price?

mrgoodge
13-10-2009, 20:47
Realistically? Be surprised if he would accept less than £400 for them. I dont know what he would of paid for his 17" replacements but he would at least want to cover his purchase costs for them.

Are the rims compatible with runflats?

doubt you can get runflats in 18'' with the correct load rating....

Why didn't you bid your maximum price in the first place? Even if you'd been in and watching it you'd have been risking a final-few-seconds snipe beating you.

seanysean123

initially I put in a bid of £200 to show I was serious about buying then mailed the guy for a buy it now price.....he said he wanted the auction to run it's course.....although I would have paid more than what he sold them for....
so I then was going to wait until last minute and bid as I normally do...forgetting that I was gonna be taking my sons for there swimming lessons..........remembered but too late...i-touch has wireless but no networks to tag onto....

maybe next time!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats a shame, I have managed to link up to the school's network a couple of times when my daughter has been trampolining. I think it is supposed to be protected but I have been successful

Nice one Patch

But i dont know if you or anyone has noticed but if you look at the ebay link at the start of this thread, then look at the one Patch has just mentioned. The listing is virtually identical, and the seller is using the same picture. It looks like the new seller is selling them on maybe?

mrgoodge

Correction the new seller bought them off the seller in the link at the start of this thread. just checked their feedback.

......or did he????

Oh and note to seanysean. DONT MISS THESE!!!!!!:shoot::shoot::shoot:

Thought about bidding, but I think it's a bit of a false economy to buy these if you're not in a hurry, as you'll soon need new tyres. At some point a set with new tyres will come up, and they'll probably go for less than £700.
