Unused
The bars have been assembled, put on the car ONCE but not used. The 'feet' are all marked according to their position on the car to make fitting easier - a good tip from Paul!

£100 delivered

EDIT: the bars are Genuine Ford parts, oval section bars, max. measurements of the bars themselves are 51mm wide x 27mm thick.

Hi, I am in Cyprus, can you deliver them there? If so, what would postage be assuming when you said delivered you probably meant within the UK.

I had an email about the roofbars, which I've just responded to. I await their response before committing here. Hope that's OK?

No problem, I would still need to know what sort of bars you have ie- the breadth or thickness as I have an old Thule box that uses a 'u' clamp.

Err, the genuine Ford kit, made by Thule, specifically for the Panoramic Roof... I'll measure them later.

I'd like to express an interest, although I suspect one of the above will be first....price sounds fair.

Are they locking bars ?

& what might postage be to Leicester (although I am in London every now & then & can probably arrange to pick them up at a convenient time....)

thanks!
Mike

BWFCLEB: For £100 I can have them delivered ot Cyprus. I don't expect it's greatly more expensive than couriers to the Nordics I've used before.

MikeIOW: £100 includes delivery, Leicester or London makes no difference to me. They're not locking bars, but they are bolted to the car roof!

Worth mentioning that covers over the ends lock, or at least mine do.

Russell

Oh, yes ... that's true! Good point.... see, I've not used them!

I was on the point of saying something about your forgetful mind, then I thought that the Lux supplied bars may not lock for some reason best known to Ford Lux.

Russell - do you still have these bars for sale chap? I pick up my car (if all is ok with it) on Tuesday and I'm pretty sure it has the pana roof! (Etis being altered hasn't helped...) I'll be in the market for roofbars and yours fit the bill.

If not, where's the best place to buy new from? Hendy Ford eShop? Is there still 20% member discount there? IF so, do I just email them to order and tell them I'm a member here?

Paul

Hendy Ford eShop requires you to email a set person & you'll need your membership number from me.

If you need this then email or PM me.

Paul.

aha. Right then, well all being well I pick up my new toy tomorrow, so once I've established exactly what the little cherub has in the way of pana roof or not, I know where I stand!

Watch this space... ;-)

OK then. Colour me interested. The salesman at TC Harrison advised me to ask you if you had the torque wrench thing that came with it as apparently it's very easy to overtighten the fixings and cause permanent damage?

Paul

What torque wrench thing?

There's 4 wing nuts that you tighten by hand. No mechanicals involved!

The nylon fitting that the nut tightens in to can split [mine has] if you over-tighten the damn thing.

Methinks salesman has never seen one installed :surprised:

I'm sure I have all the bits, including the aforementioned "wrench".

I've only put the bars together and fitted them to the car once, marking the feet with FR/FL/RR/RL to make the job easier in the future (a good tip from Paul  )

I've not even gone as far as locking the end caps on the bars yet ...

£100 and they'll be delivered by courier, which will be about £15-20 of the £100 received. :l:

I'll ensure they're well wrapped in bubblewrap & cardboard as I recycled their original container a LONG time ago.

Hmm. No idea! He just told me that there was a torque wrench that came with the official Ford bars and he just advised me to stick to the setting as they'd had to angle grind off a customer's roof bars after he disregarded that inforamtion! HE may have been talking rubbish. No idea. I've only had an S-Max for about 3 hours, what do I know!?

OK chap. Let's go for it then. How do you want to do the transaction? Cheque or paypal?

Just checked ... Paul's right, again! :o:

They're yellow plastic wingnuts you tighten, no tools involved. I've also labelled each of those FR/RR/FL/RL.
Full destructions and 4 unused keys still in their original plastic bag also in the bag of stuff.

I'll PM you other details.

Thanks!
Russell
