seems we are getting postings in the wrong sections , just wondering if the existing sections could be made more clearer and obvious to new members...

True enough, Stan.
When I see new members posting in this section, for example, when it's not related to a problem with the Forum itself, I move the thread to the more relevant section.
It's perhaps not as clear as it could be.

Member's thoughts on a preferred structure before any potential changes?

Trouble is, Russ, that it'll take ages for us to move it all around.

However, I also think that there are logical ways to rearrange the threads.

The tricky bit is member & non-member threads. That creates some duplication.

Paul, I underlined the important word. It may or may not be possible.
Personally, I'd rather see the cosmetic changes carried out, a Search function that works correctly, and a Datacentre that's reliable.

a simple temporary solution is to 'move' threads which have been posted in the wrong place..

look at this section and you will see two recent threads [just below this one] that should not be here, as soon as this kind of thing is spotted the thread should be moved to the appropriate section....

btw , i bid £2 for 'old mother in law'........

I have moved some of the recent posts, and I agree some of the headings are misleading plus we could do with some new headings, but lets get some of the old problems out of the way first - speaking of which - I bid £3.

am looking into embedded search functions but it all depends on how and where the site is served/hosted first, before those problems can be tackled

if the mother in law can cook and do childcare I could stretch to £4.50 as mine is next to useless
