18'' titianium wheels/tyres

has anyone got or know where i can get some 18'' ttn alloys with tyres for a very reasonable price, even prepared to p/x my 16'' standard alloys...

I remember there was a member (other from Hairy) selling his 18'' but unfortunately don't remember who. They were part of the sports pack and he did not want them. Was it not Rushie?

You will also need steering limiters if you go from 16 to 18. Don't forget.

Hello ! I've got a set of Titanium X-Pack 18's available, with factory Continental 235/45 tyres with about 2-3k miles wear, in great condition except for slight kerbing of 1 alloy. What state are your 16's in, and what tyres do they have on ? And whereabouts in the UK are you ?

morellomax.. i lives in swindon wilts..my 16's have 3 michelin and 1 goodyear the rears have 7mm and the mich front has 5mm and the gdy front has 4mm, all rims are perfect (just picked the car from dealer so they ought to be lol)..what you got sounds like what i want, and devon is nice this time of year..can you tell me what the 'changeover' price is...

steering limiters are needed on 17 and 18 wheels as they are wider and will touch the chassis otherwise. That's idealy is a dealer job but they could be fitted yourself if you have access to equipment to raize your car.

I have a comment on your tyres - your dealer is not a good one if he let you go with two tyres of different makes on ane axe. Very very unprofessional that is :evil: But you are changing anyway... I advise you to contact another ford garage for fitting steering limiters.

my son is a mechanic so fitting the limiters will hopefully be a breeze...do you know how much these cost?....as for the tyres , i was so excited when i picked up them smax i didnt look at the makes only looked to see if the tread was ok..my job for this weekend was to put the nearly new michelins from the back to the front and the the two odds to the rear but this might change if i can do a deal with morellomax..

ok, getting a bit confusing now..phoned my local ford dealer and said i wanted a price for 18'' wheel steering limiters and he could not find anything on his system..he did say that smax's on 16'' rims have different steering racks than those with 17/18'' rims but that was the limit of his information....can anyone enlighten me on these limiters please...

Ask Tony, maybe via pm, he will find out those in microcat - the parts catalog.
Alternatively you can try internet search just to have an idea of how much, then with a part number from Tony you could ask your dealer for the exact part.

i am sure that you do need the steering limiters for smoc1 and also the ccc needs to be recalabrated as well for the speedo settings
