Have reduced price by £500.

p/x values are laughable at the moment. Not just petrol S-Maxes but anything it seems.

Best offer from a dealer so far is £8,000, worst is £4,500!!!

Even We Buy Buy Any Car is better than that

Those are appalling p/x prices. It's such a shame you actually have to sell since it's a great looking car with a great spec. Especially as I think you'll struggle to find anything better unless you get another one. I'd hate having to spend money on a 'lesser' car, even worse if it's a company car.

Hi Paul,

I might well be interested.
I need to free up some cash and am considering selling my 2.2 59 plate but would like to keep an S-Max. Are you in a hurry to sell?

What's the timing belt interval change for the 2.5T (does it have one)?
What type of tyres did you have fitted recently? I'm used to the hard wear on the diesels and I reckon it makes up for some of the loss of MPG over the year with the longer life of petrol model tyres.

Also how longs the tax?

Thanks.

Hillfly,

Have seen a car in a dealer in Hemel Hempstead & they are offering me the right sort of deal. I'm tempted to just get on with it.

Tyres are Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta - fitted 10.08.2011

Tax until 31.01.2012 MOT until 01.09.2012

Timing belt is 125k AFAIK.

Paul.

Have reduced the price to £8,750

Been offered a p/x on a car but would still like to achieve something better than the dealer's price.

Have to move quickly as I'm seeing the dealer on Monday to discuss finance etc.

Deffo not the latter.

He did originally want to see the car here so that he could see that I am/was genuine.

Maybe this is reverse psychology?

How far away from p/x did you get Paul?

Paul

Haven't achieved it as yet, but I'm hoping to be £1,250 beyond p/x

Wonder what I'd get for the Fiat?
Do I want a second S-max?

Darkside!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :jedi:

But would I want to get rid of the baby rocket ship?
It's darkside with a Sith twist.

Decisions, decisions.

And there's that restored Jensen Interceptor as well, but I'd have to sell the one remaining cost centre to get, and run that.
