    I've just been informed, by a very reliable source, that Ford ceased accepting FACTORY ORDERS as of last night.

    There's no news on when they will reopen factory orders yet, but I guess that this indicates the imminent arrival of the updated model?

    So if you're ordering a new car you will now be limited to what's held in stock, and that is best described as "dribs & drabs".

      I went in to my dealer last Saturday (13th) with another problem.

      And the chappy there said he tried to order an S-Max for a customer on the 12th and was unable to. The system only showed cars with the new spec. but no prices.

      I called Ford on Monday and got another waste of my time, reckoned orders from May and would not take my word she was wrong, and refused to check for me.

      Hope to be able to order a new car with Ecoboost soon!

      I reckon it will be mid to end June before we start seeing new S-Max, even on the Continent.
      I'll ask my local helpful dealer to see if he knows....

      I actually believe we will see the facelifted S-MAX in March or April... :-) GO, FORD, GO!!

      The first deliveries in Germany are scheduled for May, with orders being taken now as discussed in another post.

      Just hope the car i want is less than the german equivalent of 34,500 euros!
