And I love it, just trying to get everything in the right place and the drivers seat in the optimum position but...

firstly putting my expensive sunglasses in the space provided resulted in a broken arm 0 fortunately a local optician came to the rescue and what could easily have been £150 on a new pair, turned into a £25 rob a new pair and replace the arms job.

secondly. Just stopped in Carlops for dinner (Carlisle to Eedinburgh A702, much nearer to Edinburgh though) and I've noticed what appears to be unusual staining on the alloys. NOt been off road or anything like that, not even in the rain, just seem to be unsually mucky for a dry day.

Anyone got any thoughts? I'll try to take a picture tomorrow, but will be jet ashing them before leaving the car in Inverness for the week.

Overall, very very happy. Tomorrow afternoon, Bolton le Sands to Pennycuik and Saturday morning Pennycuik to Inverness. Don't forget to wave :)

Hi all,

I have been a member for a while but still not purchased an S-max. I have put off buying a new car as it wasn't totally necessary as the need for the extra space/seats was a once/twice in a year occasion.

Now though, it looks like I have knocked the wife up again :boxed:, so what was previously a "wouldn't it be nice to have the extra space" idea floating about in my head has become a rock solid "Oh ######, I need to get a bigger car".

Easy then, you say, this being the s-max forum, buy yourself an S-max. Yes. Easy. No probs. But if I am going to buy an S-max I will be wanting the 2.0 ecoboost titanium x, with a few bells and whistles or failing that ,a second hand 2.5t titanium x pack.

Since there do not appear to be any second hand 2.5ts kicking about that match my criteria I am left with the 2.0 titanium x option. And this is where my dilema kicks in. For the same price I can now buy an Audi Q7 S line, with the bells and whistles....

So please help me here. What do I do?!?!

Have I got your attention?

Anyone got clever suggestions as to where my shiny new S-Max Owners Club Sticker should go?

Conscious of wipers etc but happy to take advice from those who know better than I.

"Tweetie" will be 24 hours old at 1pm Thursday and so far so freaking excellent! HWMBO won't let me call her Pee'n'Go (PN60) but its a small concession.

Letme start this bit by saying that I didn't realise I had voice control thingys, but amazingly I posted last night that I was trying to get the nice lady on the phone to accept my "0" and she insisted that I wanted "hash" (another story altogether) but I woke about 3am wondering "I wonder (see, that's me wondering!) if she wants zero?", which is my kind of girl to be honest!

Aha, a short time later I was checking the forum to find exactly that advice. Not sure who is the sadder, me for dreaming or a forum poster (Maximus?) posting in the early hours of the morning.

No, wait, that's when I do most of mine, Sh..ugar! It is me the sadder, damn!

Just had a new detachable towbar fitted by a Ford dealer. This included reprogramming the ECU, I presume to activate the TSP, so I am assuming the wiring was with Ford parts. Whilst on holiday a few days later, using the towbar with a bike rack (with separate lights), the ESP warning light came on for the first time. It is now on most of the time even when the towbar is detached. Two weeks later I found the car was totally dead with a flat battery. Could the ESP and battery problem be related to the towbar installation?
