Just received a call from the Ford Fair organisers to confirm that this year's Ford Fair date is Sunday the 7th of August.

The deadline for club applications is the 24th of June, therefore I will be hassling those who are going to attend for their money on/before Wednesday the 15th of June. This gives me time to recover after the Le Mans 24H race, and then to chase any stragglers.

So please put those two dates in your diary: Sunday 7th August for Ford Fair and Wednesday 15th June as the deadline for payment.

Partially as a result of the hassles that we suffered with spammers earlier in the month, and partially because we - the administrators & webmasters - realised that after the rebuild of SMAXOC in June 2008 we forgot to repost the rules. So the admins & webmasters have been busy formulating a new set of rules that will, from now on, govern how everyone uses the site.

Most of the rules are common sense, but we need to draw your attention to them as they will now be the basis of any decision made by us regarding membership, posts, complaints and such-like.

Unless we are notified by an individual member in writing [email or PM] then we must assume that each & every individual member has accepted the rules & that they have agreed to abide by them. If a member is unhappy with the rules then we'll need to suspend that account while we discuss the issues, and ultimately we reserve the right to delete accounts if any member refuses to accept the rules. This all sounds very officious, however SMAXOC and its admins & webmasters need to ensure that the site is being run on a proper legal basis.

With all of that out of the way let's all get back to the main business of SMAXOC, which is - as always - a great mixture of fun & helping each other with knowledge of the S-Max.
