Car insurance !
Iam starting a new link to some car insurance web sites that you might want to get a quick quote
As yet my understanding on matin Lewis ( link below) that brokers just sell your details and they charge you more money for add ons like legal help , winscreen cover ,
Accident Management Assistance, any much more
I would also say that I have been looking at reviews to do with brokers , please google the company on review well worth to see how they have dealt with things when it all goes wrong .
I always like to save myself and anybody who knows me Money and will say that many brokers go bust and you can lose your money & car insurance if that happens ( this was also taken from the Martin Lewis web site
You might save £5 for going with let's say jasonmarie car insurance but I might not include stuff kept in your car or winscreen cover or a hire car even if it's your fault
So in the long run the insurance company I signed you to was a lot better deal .
Also I read tonight that lets say I go on go-compair and they say The AA is the cheapest don't sign up with go-compair . Pick up that phone to the AA and 99% of the time your get even a better deal
With a company that have all the little add ons you think your getting .
Let's hope you save money & if you think you got a good deal , please let us know

Thanks for all the info J.M, can't beat a bit of martin Lewis.
I am with Aviva and have saved a lot of ££ compared to the quotes I get at the same time from a broker who I used to use for many years a while back, also go compare don't get anywhere near the aviva prices.

Funnily enough my insurance renewal came through this morning for the 19th @ £319 but that covers work & high mileage use.I have had the S-Max 1 year already! Anyway a brief look on a comparison site with the same details is £265 so with a bit more searching & haggling it should be around the £250 mark which is pretty good.

Seems like my compare the market quote above @ £265 before haggling is a good one.
Clean licence
12 years no claims
£0 voluntary excess
Wife also inc same as above
Mega mileage
SDP + Commute + work
Parked on drive at night & road during day
Windscreen cover
Protected no claims
TDI tuning box
Fird 20" wheels
Premium gone up to £295 (forgot to add those last 2 extras previously. It was only the box that raised ir, the wheels were ok)
What sort of premiums you guys paying?

Cant edit the above without loosing it all !!
Had to go on the insurers web site and add the tuning box under modifications. When i explained i needed the extra torques for lugging around a vehicle full of equipment all the time they emailed back it was ok & a valid reasonl & would cost £30 extra. Maybe haggling will bring it down a bit or is that just pushing my luck?

I would still try it's only a phone call but well done that man
So this is a live top tip it does pay to haggle
Here's a little top tip video about haggling and I never thought of the ending to it well worth a watch

Yeah, thanks for p1ssing off Chris Knott Insurance, Jason.
Really helpful.
Maybe you can find some other ways of creating more unnecessary work for me having to deal with disgruntled sponsors?
