    The MetOffice has issued a rare Red Warning for the North West/West of the UK. More info here Drivers are advised to only travel in the next 12 hours if absolutely necessary. Train Services that cover the West Coast have been partly or fully suspended. Crewe station is closed. Virgin Trains advise all travellers to 'abandon travel'.
