One of intended travelling companions is now no longer able to attend Le Mans this year. This means that I have a spare space for anyone who is interested.
We'll be leaving Portsmouth on Wednesday 9th of June on the 07:30 ferry to Cherbourg. Should be on the campsite at Le Mans by mid-afternoon, unless we stop for a proper French lunch en route!
The return journey sees us leaving Le Mans early on Monday morning. That's the 14th of June. The ferry is at 10:15 from Cherbourg back in to Poole. Should be back to my house in Chandlers Ford around 13:30.
Costs. I'm taking my car for the 3rd year. I think it knows its way there & back now. Ferry is £90. Fuel £15. Campsite £34. You will then need to buy a general admin ticket for €62, which you can do on the gate. If you fancy a grandstand seat then that'll cost you another £90. I'm not bothering with that. And you also get free admission to the Stella Appreciation Society ;-)
The camping pitch is one of 90 that Club Arnage have been allocated on Bleu Nord. This site is between the track & the airport. It's close to the track & the village and there are toilets & showers on site.
Though I have no spare tent, I do have everything else available e.g. sleeping bags, inflatable mattress, cooking gear, bottle opener & cork screw.
The party comprises yours truly, Russell and Zozzer. We'll be surrounded by the Club Arnage crowd [www.clubarnage.com] so you will be guaranteed a GOOD time.
